3-Color Reduction Woodblock
​This print is a testament to meticulous craftsmanship, created using the demanding reduction woodblock technique.
​The Process: A single block of wood is carefully carved, inked, and printed for the first color (the lightest). The artist then carves away more of the block, removing areas intended to stay the first color, and prints the second color. This process is repeated one final time for the darkest, most intricate layer. The original block is essentially destroyed in the making, meaning no further prints can ever be made—making this a truly limited-edition work of art.
